Frequently asked questions about hotel crowd control and access management

How does staff validate guest access?

Staff uses a tablet at the zone entrance. They scan the guest's QR code or search by room number. In under a second, the result appears: green if authorized, red if not, with the denial reason.

What criteria determine if a guest can access a zone?

Access is configured by meal plan (all-inclusive, full board, half board, room only), PMS segment, or rate. Each hotel zone has its own configurable access rules.

What zones can be controlled?

Any hotel zone: main buffet, a la carte restaurant, main pool, premium pool, beach, beach bar, snack bar, VIP lounge, spa. Create as many zones as you need, each with its own rules.

Does it have capacity control?

Yes. Each zone has a configurable capacity limit. When the maximum is reached, the system blocks new entries and alerts staff. Prevents overcrowding and improves the guest experience.

Can you see occupancy in real time?

Yes. A dashboard shows each zone's occupancy in real time: how many people, percentage of capacity, trend. The hotel director sees everything from a single panel.

What if the guest doesn't have their QR?

Staff searches by room number. The system shows the guests in that room, their board type, and whether they have access. Validation is just as fast as with QR.

Can a guest's access be changed?

Yes. If a guest changes board type in the PMS (e.g., upgrade to all-inclusive), the change is automatically reflected in access control. Manual exceptions can also be created.

Does it work for all-inclusive resorts?

It's the ideal solution for all-inclusive resorts. It ensures only all-inclusive guests access premium zones, while half-board guests only access their entitled areas.

What historical data is stored?
