Instructions for Adding Tags and Inserting Serial Numbers into the System

Complete guide to registering electronic label tags, assigning serial numbers, and linking them to dishes

To ensure electronic labels function correctly, they must be registered and assigned a serial number. Follow these steps:

1. Adding New Tags to the System

  1. Log into Hoteligy with your credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Tags section in the main menu.
  3. Click the Add Tag button.
  4. Specify the quantity of tags to add.
  5. Choose a color for the tag code for easy identification.
  6. Select the restaurant and area for tag placement.
  7. Save your changes.
  8. New tags appear in the tab without serial numbers assigned.

2. Inserting the Serial Number into the Tags

  1. Access the tag tab and find unregistered tags.
  2. Select a tag and click Edit.
  3. Enter the serial number displayed on the tag’s screen in the Serial Number field.
  4. Click Save to link the tag to the system.

3. Assigning Dishes to the Tags

  1. Go to the Restaurants section after registering tags.
  2. Select Schedules.
  3. Open the relevant schedule to view new tag codes.
  4. Assign corresponding dishes to selected tags.

4. Verification and Synchronization

  1. Confirm the tag appears in the active devices list.
  2. Verify serial number accuracy if not displayed.
  3. Press Update in the device list to synchronize.
  4. Wait several seconds and confirm proper linking.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Ensure tags are powered on and within antenna range if missing.
  • Double-check for serial number entry errors.
  • Contact technical support with serial number and issue description if problems persist.
