How to Create a New Page in the Web App and Totem
Step-by-step guide to creating and configuring new pages in the Hoteligy Web App and Kiosks, including tabs, languages, and publishing.
This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a new page in our Web App and Kiosks. Adding new pages allows you to expand and customize information about your hotel, addressing all specific guest inquiries. Follow these steps to create your new page!
Instructions
Log into the Back Office
To get started, log into the back office using your user credentials.
Navigate to the Pages Section
In the admin panel, locate and select the Pages tab from the categories in the side menu.
Click on “Create New Page”
Within the page management section, find the “Create New Page” button or link and click on it to begin the creation process.
Instead of creating a page from scratch, we recommend selecting an existing page and duplicating it. Once copied, simply update the titles, images, and text—this process is much faster.
Complete the New Page Details

Next, we will explain the available page configuration options, tab by tab.
GENERAL TAB
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Reference | This is an internal title used to identify the page. |
| Phone | When this field is completed, the contact phone number will be displayed at the bottom of the page. |
| When this field is completed, the contact email will be displayed at the bottom of the page. | |
| Geolocation | If you want to include a map on the page, you need to add the location. To do this, click on the Location icon and move the marker within the map until it is positioned at the exact desired location. |
| URL | If you want to redirect the customer to another external webpage, enter the corresponding URL link here. |
| Chain Sharing | This option is available only for corporate users of hotel chains. Shared pages have the advantage that all changes will automatically reflect in all hotels where they are shared. |
| Schedule Text | This field is not relevant for WebApp and Kiosks, so it does not need to be completed. |
ADDITIONAL INFO TAB
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Has a Menu? | If you want to add a menu to the page, you can enable this option here. First, check the “Has a Menu” box. Then, select one or more menus from the available list and confirm by clicking the “Assign Menu” button. Once the menu is added, a “View Menu” button will automatically appear on the page. |
| Has a Questionnaire? | If you want to add a questionnaire to the page, you can enable this option here. First, check the “Has a Questionnaire” box. Then, select a questionnaire from the available list. Once added, a “Rate” button will automatically appear on the page. |
| Is it a Buffet? | This option is available exclusively for hotels that have contracted the electronic labeling system. When enabled, guests will be able to view the restaurant’s buffet menu directly on the restaurant’s page. |
VISIBILITY TAB
Our tool allows you to automatically set the publication and unpublication dates, as well as segment pages based on different parameters. For more details on these functions, please refer to the “Limit Page Visibility” article.
BUTTONS TAB
In this section, you can configure the image that will appear on the Home page of the Web App. To find the ideal image dimensions, check out the “Image Sizes” article.
TITLE TAB
Here, you can configure the page title in different languages so that guests can easily identify it.
NOTES TAB
Notes are small tags or labels that you can add to the main page box (home) of the Web App. Examples include:
- “Ocean View” (for a room page)
- “Italian Cuisine” (for a restaurant page)
- “Premium” (for a high-end service)
DESCRIPTIONS TAB
This field is not relevant for the Web App and Kiosks, so it does not need to be completed.
EXTERNAL LINK TAB
If you want to add a button that redirects to an external webpage, you can configure the URL and the text that will appear on the button here.
Once all the fields have been configured, click Save, and your page will be created!
ADDING A TAB
After creating the page, the next step is to add one or more tabs. To do this, click “Add Tab” and choose from the available templates:
- “Responsive Column” — Always use this template for the Web App.
- “Pools” — Used to add a tab with swimming pool details.
- “PDF Viewer” — Used to upload a PDF to the Web App.

Once you have selected the template, you need to enter the tab name in different languages. Then, in the device visibility settings, choose on which devices you want to publish the page.
In the last option, “Visibility”, you can segment the tab to be available only for certain users and also, as in the initial configuration, define the date of publication and unpublication of the tab automatically. For more details on segmentation, check out the “Limit Page Visibility” article.
ADDING LANGUAGES
Once the page and tab have been created, the final step is to add languages. To do this:
- Click on “Add Language”.
- After adding the desired languages, click on the pencil icon.
- This will open a text editor where you can enter the content.
And this is where the magic begins!
In the editor, you will find the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Totem Header / APP Video | Upload an image or video to appear at the top of the page on totems. For recommended dimensions, refer to the “Image Size” article. |
| Page Title | Enter the title of the page in the selected language. |
| Main Page Text | Use the text editor to customize the content. You can experiment with font sizes, icons, tables, and other formatting tools. |
| Logo | Upload the logo related to the page (e.g., a restaurant’s logo). Recommended dimensions: 300 x 150 px with inner margins on all four sides. The logo will appear below the header image. |
| Totem Background / APP header | The uploaded image will serve as: Background on totems. Header in the WebApp. Check the “Image Size” article for more details. |
| Gallery Image Title | Add a title for the image displayed in the gallery. |
| Gallery Image | Upload an image for the gallery. The image will be part of a photo carousel shown at the bottom of the page. |
And That’s It!
You’ve successfully created a new page in the WebApp.
Publishing the Page
Once the page is created, it will not be published automatically.
To make it visible in the WebApp, you must link it to an existing category.
