How to Link or Assign a Page to a Category

Step-by-step guide to linking or assigning pages to categories and subcategories so they become accessible in the Web App.

In this guide, we will walk you through the step-by-step process of linking or assigning a page to a category. Remember, simply creating a page is not enough — it must be linked to a category or subcategory to be accessible.

Instructions

1. Log in to the Back Office

To get started, log in to the back office using your user credentials at https://cms.hoteligy.com/admin

2. Navigate to the Categories Section

In the admin panel, look for the Categories tab in the side menu and select it.

Once you have created the category and subcategory, the next step is to link the pages you want to publish under that category. To do this, select the newly created category, then the subcategory, and click the “Link to Page” button.

At this point, you have two options:

  • Add a single page
  • Add a group of pages

If you want to add a single page, click on the Assign Page field and select the corresponding page from the dropdown menu.

If you want to add a group of pages, select multiple pages from the dropdown menu, define the group title, configure the button, and save your changes.

For example, let’s say you want to publish the user manuals for different appliances in the room under a single category called “User Instructions.” In this case, you would select the user instructions for the coffee maker, the safe, the air conditioning system, etc., and group them under a single title.

However, if you prefer not to group the pages, simply select one, save it, and repeat the process for the remaining pages.
