Deposits Module

Guide to managing loaned items like towels and equipment using the deposit tracking module

The deposit module is an essential tool for efficiently managing loaned items in hotels, such as towels, hairdryers, and ping pong rackets. This system helps track products given to guests with organization and ease of use.

Initial Setup

To start using the deposit module:

  1. Navigate to Deposits > Configuration.
  2. Add products requiring a deposit by clicking the + button.
  3. Enter the product title, description, and specify the limit type: per person or per room.

Limit Examples:

  • Per person: Each guest receives one item (e.g., one towel per person).
  • Per room: All guests in the room share allocated items (e.g., two ping pong rackets per room).

Daily Operations

Filter and view movements using:

  • Date Range — Today, yesterday, or custom ranges.
  • Room Number — View room-specific transactions.
  • Reservation/Guest Name — Locate guest deposit records.

Color-coded indicators:

  • Red: Items collected from guests.
  • Green: Items delivered to guests.
  • Black: Canceled transactions.

Registering a Transaction

  1. Click the Add (+) button.
  2. Select the product type.
  3. Choose room number and guest.
  4. (Optional) Add internal notes for relevant details.
  5. Select Deliver (giving item to guest) or Collect (receiving item back).
  6. Confirm the transaction.

The system automatically enforces preset item limits.

Canceling a Movement

Transactions can be canceled by swiping left on the entry.
