Initial Setup for Electronic Labels
Step-by-step guide to defining zones, adding labels, and linking serial numbers in the electronic labeling system
1. Defining Zones and Restaurants
Before getting started, it is essential to have the basic information defined: the restaurant name, the operational zones (e.g., Hot, Cold, Desserts), and how many labels will be assigned to each one.
How to create a new zone
If you need to add a zone that does not exist:
- Click on the option to create a new zone.
- Enter the name (e.g., “Show Cooking”) and a representative code (e.g., “SC”).
- When you save, the new zone will appear in your list.
2. Adding Labels to Zones
Once the zones are defined, you must tell the system how many labels will be in each one:
- Go to the Label section and select “Add labels”.
- Choose a color to identify the zone (e.g., red for Show Cooking).
- Enter the number of labels needed for that zone (e.g., 7 labels).
- Click Submit.
3. Understanding Label Codes
The system will automatically generate a code for each label (e.g., D-C5). The structure is as follows:
- First letter: Corresponds to the restaurant (e.g., D for Demo).
- Second letter: Corresponds to the zone (e.g., C for Caliente/Hot).
- Number: The sequential number of the label within that zone (e.g., 5).
You can use the search bar to filter by these codes.
4. Linking the Serial Number (Physical Setup)
When you receive the physical labels, you must link them to the virtual labels previously created:
- Find the desired label in the list and click Edit.
- Locate the serial number printed on the back. It is a 9-digit code that always starts with 8.
- Enter this number in the “Serial Number” field.
- Click Save.
Important note: This last step is essential for the antenna, once connected to the internet, to send the correct information to the corresponding physical label.
